Two hour speed paint for this group: speedpaintstudies.deviantart.c...
Comments: First off, I would like to thank all the people who voted for the sculptures and monuments category as the are my favorite.
Having said that, does not, by any means make this two hour speed limit any easier, it just helps me tough it out more and maybe get to a place where I actually learn something!

What I've learned: OMG!
A speed painting requires fewer details that a whole blown out study LOL! I got caught up in the head, base and backgroud when I should have spent a little more time on the body and textures that were hiding there.
A limited palette is quite nice to paint. Though I was longing for some warmer colors throughout this I was happy that the palette was less complicated time wise.
Values! A little goes a long way! OMG In the crunch that really helped. I will treasure that lesson!

Good job! you said you spend too much time on head and base but it was the right places to put effort on.
