Brienne <3
Elle a l'air réelle et les tons et la lumière sont pas mal du tout

Niiiice! You caught it very well! Is it a picture study or did you created?

Merci mon ami!  It's mostly a study from one picture for the armor, however the face is mostly a study of the model or actual actress from different photographs that I blended together to achieve the Brienne that I was looking for.  Though she plays a tough character in the show underneath it all the character is really sweet, ready to give her life for a cause.  The actress that plays the character is also actually quite good looking in real life, nothing like the character she plays.  I wanted to capture the blueness of her eyes and a softer expression.  She also has very blond brows and eyelashes when not wearing makeup, which is something that Brienne would never do, so it's just a bunch of things that I wanted to translate in the portrait.  It's also the first time that I've attempted to paint armor, so I was happy that I finally initiated myself to that, though very lightly as the armor really isn't nearly up to the point that I want to take it to in future drawings.  Merci encore :-)

Ok, I was suspecting something like that. Actually I've made something like that with my Severus Snape, inspiring of a several pictures to get a "brand original" one. You rendered greatly the "massive" aspect of her outfit in the show.
Really you did well my friend. The only thing that I'd change if I were you is adding a touch of hardness on the front of her armor because you have very sharp eyes that caught all the attention but as kind of photographer myself it's like having an unrealistic depth of field (area of focus). On the other hand as the head is your main focal point I guess it's not a bad idea..... Anyway I'd try to add the sharpness to rebalance the overall image. Just my two cent though. :D

Your 2 cents are always appreciated my friend!  And you're right, I may have been concentrating too much on rendering the face.  Art, as photography is a balancing act.  Merci pour les bons conseils!

Merde, it's the scarf that's all wrong! I see, not enough definition along the frontal plane, including the armor.  Eh bien, merci!  I'll get to it soon, I hope :-)

yes, you see now. The good part is it will take you just very few hard, sharp strokes to correct it. :D

Thanks Thresh!  I was more preoccupied with the face but I think that it is high time that I incorporate posing and textures into my work.  This armor was a blast to paint, I'm glad you liked it.
